There are no Russian citizens among the nine detained in Poland suspected of spying for the Russian Federation. This is reported by the newspaper Rzeczpospolita.

It is noted that the Polish special services detained nine citizens of Ukraine and Belarus on suspicion of espionage.

“People with Russian citizenship would immediately catch the eye. Perhaps that is why representatives of other nationalities were recruited,” the article says.

Earlier, the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Poland, Mariusz Kaminski, said that the Internal Security Agency (AVB) of Poland had detained nine foreigners who were accused of spying for Russia.

Currently, a special operation of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation continues in Ukraine. On February 24, 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced its beginning. According to him, the purpose of military action is to demilitarize the neighboring country and denazify its authorities.
