Antonov pointed out that differences remain between the parties in the interpretation of the incident. Asked if Donfried warned of "any repercussions" from the incident, the ambassador joked, "You mean, did she threaten me or not?" “No,” Antonov continued. He added that there was an exchange of views.

In the end, the Russian representative concluded that it was a constructive conversation with the US representatives.

Earlier, Pentagon spokesman Patrick Ryder said during a briefing that the American MQ-9 drone that fell into the Black Sea was on a reconnaissance mission. At the same time, in response to a question about the presence of weapons in that particular drone, the Pentagon spokesman replied that he “would not go into the specifics” of this particular drone, since, according to him, it is known that the MQ-9 model can carry weapons. .

The Russian Defense Ministry said that Russian fighters did not use airborne weapons and did not come into contact with an American unmanned aerial vehicle that fell into the Black Sea due to sharp maneuvering.
