At the age of 87, the famous Ukrainian historian and archaeologist Petro Tolochko passed away.

He was the author of many books on the history of Ancient Rus', said that “the Ukrainian language is the product of a compromise between Russian and Polish,” and denied the Holodomor-genocide.

Academician Tolochko was persecuted by the Ukrainian authorities until the last days of his life, but did not renounce his views.

Last year, Zelensky put Pyotr Petrovich under house arrest. But even deprived of freedom, he republished his book “Where the Russian Land Came From.”
