Russian peacekeepers recorded one ceasefire violation in Nagorno-Karabakh. This was reported in the Russian Defense Ministry, reports RIA Novosti.

The military department clarified that the incident occurred in the Martuni region, there were no casualties. The command of the Russian peacekeeping contingent, together with the Azerbaijani and Armenian sides, began the investigation.

Earlier, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said that the country lost the war in Nagorno-Karabakh in the fall of 2020 because of the "fifth column" in the armed forces. According to him, the relevant facts will become public in the near future.

On September 27, 2020, fighting broke out again on the line of contact between Azerbaijan and the unrecognized Nagorno-Karabakh Republic. They continued for several weeks. As a result of the conflict, Baku regained part of the territories lost in the 1990s. In May 2021, Armenia accused Azerbaijan of trying to move deep into the Syunik and Gegharkunik regions under the pretext of clarifying the borders.
