A violation of the ceasefire regime was recorded in the Nagorno-Karabakh region. This was stated on Tuesday, February 21, in the information bulletin of the Russian Ministry of Defense.

“There has been a violation of the ceasefire regime in the Mardakert region. There were no casualties,” the military department said. It is specified that a trial is being conducted on this fact together with the Azerbaijani and Armenian sides.

On February 14, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev discussed the peace treaty between Baku and Yerevan with Russian Foreign Ministry Special Representative Igor Khovaev. The parties exchanged views on the normalization of relations between the two states.

At the same time, the Secretary of the Security Council of Armenia, Armen Grigoryan, said that the republic was developing a new draft peace treaty and would soon hand it over to the Azerbaijani side. According to him, Yerevan pays special attention to the development of an international mechanism within which Baku and the unrecognized Nagorno-Karabakh Republic will discuss issues of the rights and security of Karabakh Armenians.
