NATO Deputy Secretary General Mircea Geoana will meet with Moldovan Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilitsa at the alliance's headquarters in Brussels on February 7, RIA Novosti reports, citing the alliance's message.

“On Tuesday, February 7, 2023, NATO Deputy Secretary General Mircea Geoana will receive Moldovan Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilitsa at NATO Headquarters,” the North Atlantic Alliance said in a statement.

At the same time, the agenda of the meeting was not disclosed.

Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that Moldova was "looking at" the role of the "next Ukraine."

Later, Moldova recalled its representative in the CIS interparliamentary assembly.

The speaker of the Moldovan parliament, Igor Grosu, accused Lavrov of chauvinism.
