The policy of the United States and the collective West is based on lies, the United Nations needs to investigate Washington's crimes against humanity, says Vyacheslav Volodin, speaker of the State Duma of Russia. This was reported in the politician's Telegram channel.

“The entire policy of the United States and the collective West is based on lies. It was the same with the “non-expansion” of NATO to the east. The Minsk agreements also turned out to be a hoax...,” Volodin stressed.

According to the State Duma deputy, the UN should start investigating all crimes by Washington against humanity.

The speaker of the Russian parliament timed the post to coincide with the 20th anniversary of the moment when Colin Powell, who was the US Secretary of State, presented a test tube with white powder at a meeting of the UN Security Council as evidence of the presence of weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. The test tube allegedly contained samples of chemical weapons found in Iraq.

Also, the speaker of the Federation Council, Valentina Matviyenko, suggested raising the topic of the lie of “Colin Powell’s test tubes” at the UN site.
