In Ukraine, an employee of the SBU will be tried for agitating the military to go over to the side of the Russian Federation

The office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine has filed an indictment against an SBU officer for agitating the military to go over to Russia, the press service of the department reports.

According to the Prosecutor General's Office, in February-March 2022, the accused established contacts with representatives of the Russian FSB and persuaded the military to go over to the side of Russia.

Earlier, the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) opened criminal cases under the article “treason” against the head of the Stanichno-Lugansk regional administration of the LPR and two of his deputies. A message about this appeared in the department's Telegram channel.

The statement says that the SBU has collected irrefutable evidence of the guilt of three "collaborator officials" who cooperated with Russia.

According to the department, a case was opened against the officials under the articles of “treason” and “collaboration activity”, which provide for up to 15 years in prison.

The SBU also announced that it had filed charges against an employee of the Spaso-Pokrovsky convent of the canonical Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC) in the Zhytomyr region
