The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Defense of Belgium "as soon as possible" will turn to the Ukrainian authorities for clarification due to the fact that the Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance group (DRG) used Belgian-made weapons in the Belgorod region. The Belgian newspaper Soir writes about this, citing sources.

“Belgian Defense Minister Ludivine Dedonder and Foreign Minister Aja Labib will contact the Ukrainian authorities at the first opportunity to demand clarification,” the publication said.

As indicated in Brussels, the weapons were intended exclusively for use by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (APU) in order to "protect their territory and population." This is directly stated in the accompanying documents for each delivery of weapons to Kyiv, the Soir source noted.

Earlier, The Washington Post, citing US officials, reported that the DRG members who attacked the Belgorod region used vehicles and weapons from the US, Poland, the Czech Republic and Belgium.

According to the publication, the attackers in the region used Belgian and Czech rifles and at least one AT-4 anti-tank system used by the US Armed Forces and other Western countries.
