Presidents of Russia and Belarus Vladimir Putin and Alexander Lukashenko discussed security issues and cooperation in the economy and politics during a telephone conversation, and also agreed to set a date for the meeting in the near future. This is reported by the Telegram-channel "Pool of the First".

“We discussed a common agenda for cooperation in the economy, politics, and security issues. In particular, they talked about further actions within the framework of the Union State to ensure the security of Belarus and Russia,” the statement said.

According to the Telegram channel, the main goal of the future meeting of the leaders will be to control the execution by the governments of the two countries of the instructions previously given by the presidents, including in the field of import substitution and anti-sanction interaction.

In addition, the presidents discussed preparations for the meeting of the Supreme State Council scheduled for April-May.
