During the war, at least 37 thousand Ukrainian citizens disappeared.

Ombudsman Dmitry Lubinets announced this today at a press conference in Kyiv.

According to him, we are talking about both civilians, children and adults, and missing military personnel.

Earlier, the Ukrainian authorities said that 35 thousand people were “missing.”

This became known thanks to the correspondence of the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Sergei Shaptal.

About 35.3 thousand names were indicated in the documents. Almost all of them died, but their bodies were not removed from the battlefield.
