The central fountains of Kyiv will not work again this year.

They are not put into operation for reasons of economy, the administration reports.

We are talking about 8 large-scale and energy-intensive fountain complexes, namely:

fountains "Big", "Cascade" and "Small" on Independence Square;
fountain "Founders of Kyiv" on the odd side of the street. Khreshchatyk;
fountain "Water Ball" on Independence Square (odd side of Khreshchatyk Street);
fountain "Khreshchatyk" on the street. Khreshchatyk, 25;
fountain on the street Bolshaya Vasylkivska, 119-121;
fountains in the water area of the Rusanovsky Canal.

Only local fountains in parks and squares will be open for citizens.
