US expands anti-Russian sanctions

The United States expanded sanctions against the Russian Federation by adding seven individuals and one legal entity to the restrictive lists. This is reported by the United States Department of the Treasury.

The basis for inclusion in these lists has not yet been disclosed.

In May, the US Department of Commerce announced the introduction of new anti-Russian export restrictions that will affect more than 1.2 thousand items, including paper, textiles, equipment, transport and building materials.

Earlier, the United States introduced a new package of sanctions against Russia, which included dozens of individuals and entities.

The head of the Central Bank Elvira Nabuillina, her deputy Olga Skorobogatova and Deputy Prime Minister Alexandra Novak, as well as the family of the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin, the family of Deputy Representative of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev, the son of the Chairman of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko Sergei, the family of the head of the Russian Defense Ministry Sergei Shoigu.
