The official representative of the European Commission, Miriam Garcia Ferrer, said that negotiations on extending restrictions on the import of Ukrainian agricultural products are ongoing, thereby refuting previous reports, RIA Novosti reports.

“Until a decision is made, discussions continue, we will announce the decision when it is ready, perhaps later today,” the representative of the European Commission told reporters.

Earlier, PAP reported that the EC extended the ban on the import of grain from Ukraine to five countries until mid-September.

“The European Commission has extended until mid-September the EU ban on imports from Ukraine of wheat, corn, rapeseed and sunflower,” the publication reported.

It is noted that the ban came into force and replaced the unilateral decisions to ban imports introduced by countries bordering Ukraine, including Poland.

According to Klymenko Time, the ban will apply to the import of grain from Ukraine to Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania and Bulgaria.
