Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov said at a briefing with reporters that Moscow did not receive details of the plan to resolve the conflict in Ukraine from Indonesia, which was reported by Indonesian Defense Minister Prabowo Subiant.

Indonesia's peace plan, according to Subiant, included a ceasefire, the establishment of a demilitarized zone, and the deployment of United Nations peacekeepers.

“I don’t know that anything detailed has been presented through diplomatic channels, so I can’t say anything,” he said.

Dmitry Peskov also said that there is no information about the visit of the envoy of the Pope to Russia yet.

In addition, the Kremlin spokesman said that Russian President Vladimir Putin receives information about what is happening with the Belgorod region bordering Ukraine from various sources.

On February 24, 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that he had decided to conduct a military special operation in Ukraine in response to a request for help from the heads of the Lugansk and Donetsk People's Republics (LPR and DPR).

The decision to conduct the operation was the reason for new sanctions against Russia by the United States and its allies.
