Moldova and Ukraine will sign an agreement on the construction of a bridge

Moldovan President Maia Sandu announced the signing of a bilateral agreement on the construction of a bridge across the Dniester near the Ukrainian city of Yampol. It is reported by TASS.

The statement was made by the politician at a press conference dedicated to the summit of the European Political Community (EPC) held in Chisinau on June 1.

“According to the agreements reached during the summit with President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, an agreement will be signed in the near future on the construction of a bridge across the Dniester River on the Moldovan-Ukrainian border near the settlements of Cosautsy-Yampol,” the head of Moldova said.

The construction agreement was approved by the Moldovan government in May 2022, the length of the bridge should be 641 meters. It is planned to be connected to the highway in Ukraine.

Earlier, the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine announced the import of electricity from Slovakia and Moldova.
