The social network Instagram (the owner of Meta is recognized as extremist in Russia and banned) has unblocked the account of lawyer Robert Kennedy Jr. It is reported by the Washington Post.

The platform deleted Kennedy's account in 2021 for "repeatedly spreading debunked claims about the coronavirus or vaccines" and later in 2022 suspended the account of his nonprofit Children's Health Defense for spreading false medical information.

“Because he is now an active candidate for President of the United States, we have restored access to Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s Instagram account,” Andy Stone, spokesman for Meta (described as extremist and banned in Russia), told WP.

Kennedy intends to run for the presidency of the United States from the Democratic Party.

The politician is the son of Senator Robert Kennedy (1925-1968) and is the nephew of former US President John F. Kennedy (1917-1963), of whose murder he accuses the CIA.

Earlier, in a conversation with Tucker Carlson, Kennedy Jr. said that the United States had nothing to oppose Russia in Ukraine.
