Secretary of the Security Council of Armenia Armen Grigoryan stated that by the end of 2023 it is possible to sign a peace treaty with Azerbaijan with a high intensity of negotiations. This was reported by the Public Television of Armenia.

“Very intensive negotiations are being held between Armenia and Azerbaijan. If this intensity continues and there is strong assistance from the international community, then there is an opportunity to sign a peace agreement by the end of the year,” he said.

According to Grigoryan, Armenia is determined "as soon as possible" to sign the agreement.

Earlier, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said that Yerevan hopes to agree on the terms of a peace agreement with Baku. Azerbaijani leader Ilham Aliyev said that the signing of a peace agreement between the republics is "inevitable". They commented on the possible conclusion of peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan and the State Duma, and in the Kremlin.
