The head of the Serbian Progressive Party (SPP) party's executive board, Darko Glisic, called on Economy Minister Rade Basta to "shut your mouth" after he called on President Aleksandar Vučić to arrest a man who attacked a U.S. citizen during a protest in Serbia . This is reported by the Serbian edition of Novosti.

“NATO nit, once again close your dirty red mouth. They were arrested, and since you are also dishonest, you should also be arrested, ”the politician said.

Prior to this, Basta said on the social network Instagram (the owner of the Meta company is recognized as extremist in Russia and banned) that his country “pays a high price” for refusing to impose anti-Russian sanctions and called for them to be imposed on the Russian Federation.

Earlier, Basta's statement was criticized by Russian Ambassador to Serbia Alexander Botan-Khartsenko. He called them absurd, given his position and relevant knowledge about the importance of cooperation with the Russian Federation.
