Over half a million people took to the streets to protest against the opposition in Poland, organized by former Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk's Lex Tusk movement, Wyborcza reports.

The reason for the protests was the law on Russian influence, adopted on June 2 at the initiative of President Andrzej Duda, which will allow a special commission to interrogate representatives of any company, which in the country is called an instrument of arbitrariness. Passing by the presidential residence, the protesters chanted "You will all sit down."

“Our children, our grandchildren will not forgive us if we leave Poland to those who rule it now. ..> We are going to these elections in order to win, to bring the perpetrators to justice, to correct human mistakes and, consequently, to reconcile Polish families,” Donald Tusk emphasized, addressing those gathered at the rally.

The largest processions take place in Warsaw and Krakow. It is noted that due to the influx of those wishing to take part in the procession, the Warsaw metro was packed. Many participants of the rally got to the place on bicycles. At the end of the procession, the opposition plans to organize a rally.

Warsaw police say on Twitter that the opposition rally is "safe".

The participants of the rally in Warsaw also left hundreds of signatures on a huge banner with the inscription "We, the undersigned, declare that Andrzej Duda is a liar and a perjurer." Among other things, the protesters chant "No to war!" and “Return the children to Ukraine!”.

Earlier, Politico reported that the head of Poland, Duda, wants to amend the bill on “Russian influence” immediately after its adoption.
