Talks between Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan and NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg ended in Istanbul. It is reported by Anadolu.

The main topic of the talks was the process of Sweden's accession to NATO.

Earlier, the Secretary General of the North Atlantic Alliance arrived in Ankara on Saturday, June 3, to attend the swearing-in ceremony for re-elected Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

On June 1, the Russian TASS agency, citing a source in Ankara, reported that the Turkish government may consider Sweden's application to join NATO within a month before the alliance's July summit in Vilnius. According to the agency, Turkey's main demand has been fulfilled. The Swedish government has adopted amendments to anti-terrorism legislation.
