Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov said that the new supply of weapons to Kyiv from the West will lead to further escalation of tension. He said this on the air of the program “Moscow. Kremlin. Putin" on TV channel "Russia 1".

The Kremlin spokesman pointed to the discussion of deliveries to Ukraine of missiles with a range of 500 km or more from France and Germany.

“This is a qualitatively completely different weapon, which, let’s say, will already lead to another turn in the spiral of forcing tension,” Peskov said.

Earlier, the Special Representative of the Chinese Government for Eurasian Affairs, Li Hui, expressed the opinion that the Ukrainian conflict could be ended by completing the supply of weapons to the war zone.

Prior to this, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili stated that the world community is not doing enough for negotiations between Russia and Ukraine.

On June 1, it became known that the European Parliament (EP) voted at a plenary session in Brussels in support of a bill to increase and accelerate the production of ammunition and missiles in the European Union (EU). According to the press service of the European Parliament, the law is aimed at accelerating the supply of ammunition and missiles to Ukraine, as well as supporting the replenishment of the defense arsenals of EU member states.
