Armed Forces of Ukraine announced a missile attack on the airfield near Kropyvnytskyi

On the night of Sunday, June 4, an airfield near Kropivnitsky in the Kirovograd region fell under a missile attack. This was stated by the speaker of the Air Force of Ukraine (APU) Yuriy Ignat as part of the telethon, RBC reports.

In addition, according to him, as a result of the attack, the infrastructure in the Sumy region was damaged.

Prior to that, an air alert was announced throughout Ukraine. Local news publications reported on explosions and the operation of the air defense system in Kropyvnytskyi and Dnepropetrovsk regions. Air defense systems also operated in the Ukrainian capital and the Kyiv region.

According to eyewitnesses, explosions took place in the Kirovograd, Sumy and Dnepropetrovsk regions.

On June 2, the mayor of Kyiv, Vitali Klitschko, announced explosions and the operation of air defense systems in the Ukrainian capital.

On the night of June 1, explosions were heard in Kyiv and the Kyiv region. Subsequently, it turned out that up to 10 detonations were heard in the city. All events in the Ukrainian capital scheduled for Children's Day had to be cancelled.
