The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) are conducting military aviation exercises in the north of the country, but the dates and exact area of the exercises have not been reported. This was stated by the press service of the joint command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, TASS reports.

“In the northern operational zone, under the leadership of the commander of the Joint Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Serhiy Naev, exercises were held with the participation of Mi-24 combat helicopters and Mi-8 military transport helicopters, live firing was carried out,” the command said in a statement.

The lieutenant general noted that during the maneuvers, the combat control group, pilots and engineering staff trained together for several days.

Earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said that the Armed Forces of Ukraine were ready to launch a counteroffensive. He stressed that he would like to get some more weapons before the counteroffensive, but "Ukraine cannot wait for them."
