Scientists from the Moscow Aviation Institute (MAI) have developed an innovative wing for drones made of cellular panels. This is reported by "Izvestia" with reference to the co-author of the development, a researcher at the Institute No. 1 "Aviation Technology" MAI Andrey Kolpakov.

It is noted that the new structure of the device will increase the strength and rigidity of the structure. The institute indicated that cellular panels can be produced from sheet materials by stamping, which will minimize manual labor and speed up the process of assembling the drone.

“Production speed is one of the main advantages of the technology,” Kolpakov assured.

The MAI added that aircraft designers have patented the invention, the development is ready for implementation in mass industrial production.

Earlier it was reported that specialists from the Sakhalin Center for Unmanned Technologies have developed a Lutik quadrocopter resistant to electronic warfare (EW). The device is designed for reconnaissance and delivery of ammunition. The first version of the Buttercup drone has already been tested in the special operation area, as a result of which a modernized device was created, featuring increased flight time and payload.
