The design of the compact Lebedev pistol (PLC) has been improved. This was announced to TASS during the exhibition "Expotechnostrazh-2023" by the president of "Kalashnikov" Alan Lushnikov.

The head of the concern noted that following the results of the controlled operation of the first pilot batch of PLCs in the conditions of mass production, a number of comments and suggestions were received, in particular, regarding ergonomics and components.

“On some pistols, delays were recorded during firing, associated with the supply of a cartridge into the chamber due to the incorrect provision of the geometry of the magazines and their compliance with interchangeability requirements. As a corrective measure, the die equipment was finalized and the magazine manufacturing technology was adjusted,” the head said.

Lushnikov said that other remarks were related to the use of a belt holster and magazine pouches. In addition, there was a need for a set of holsters for concealed carry. “According to all the comments of this type, technical solutions were developed, agreed with the customer, in terms of improving the design,” said Lushnikov.

In January, Kalashnikov announced its readiness for mass production of PLCs.
