Chinese Foreign Ministry: Xi Jinping to discuss international and regional issues with Putin

During his state visit to Russia on March 20-22, Chinese President Xi Jinping will discuss with Vladimir Putin bilateral relations, as well as issues on the international and regional agenda. This was stated at a briefing by Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin, RIA Novosti reports.

"Xi Jinping will hold an in-depth exchange of views with Putin on bilateral relations, international and regional issues," the Chinese Foreign Ministry said.

Earlier, the Kremlin reported that during the visit of Chinese President Xi Jinping to Russia, a number of important bilateral agreements would be signed.

The last time the heads of the two countries met was in September 2022 in Samarkand on the sidelines of the summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. At the end of December 2022, the President of Russia invited the head of China to pay a state visit to Moscow in the spring of 2023.
