Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin said the PRC will take an objective position on the Ukrainian crisis and play a constructive role in advancing the peace talks. This is how he commented on the forthcoming visit of President Xi Jinping to Russia, RIA Novosti reports.

“China will firmly adhere to an objective and fair position regarding the Ukrainian crisis and play a constructive role in advancing peace negotiations,” the diplomat stressed.

Earlier, the Chinese Foreign Ministry confirmed that Xi Jinping will arrive in Moscow on a working visit on March 20-22, where he will meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin. According to Wang, the meeting will help promote strategic cooperation and practical interaction between the two countries and create new incentives for the development of Sino-Russian relations.

Prior to this, political scientist Andrei Perla expressed the opinion that Xi Jinping's visit to Moscow would mark the division of the world.
