The state visit of Chinese President Xi Jinping to Russia will be peaceful and will not be directed to third parties. This was stated at a briefing by Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin, RIA Novosti reports.

"The two sides will practice true multilateralism based on the principles of non-alignment, non-confrontation and non-targeting of third parties, promote the democratization of international relations, build a multipolar world, improve global governance, and contribute to global development," the Chinese diplomat said.

Earlier, the Kremlin reported that during the visit of Chinese President Xi Jinping to Russia, a number of important bilateral agreements would be signed. The visit will take place on March 20-22.

The last time the heads of the two countries met was in September 2022 in Samarkand on the sidelines of the summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. At the end of December 2022, the President of Russia invited the head of China to pay a state visit to Moscow in the spring of 2023.
