The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, published on her Telegram channel a photo of Danish Foreign Minister Lars Lekke Rasmussen from Afghanistan, in which he poses with a machine gun in his hands, thus commenting on his words about the “rule of law”.

“To visualize Lars’ observance of the rule of law, I publish his photo during a “study” trip to Afghanistan in 1988. Lars stands in traditional Pakistani clothes with a Soviet AK-47 assault rifle for argumentation, he is surrounded by Mujahideen on both sides,” Zakharova wrote.

She recalled that, according to Rasmussen, the rule of law is respected in Germany, Sweden and Denmark, so their investigations into the incident on the Nord Stream and Nord Stream 2 gas pipelines can be trusted. The head of the Danish Foreign Ministry pointed this out when he told why the Russian Federation was not allowed to participate in the investigation.

Earlier, Zakharova said that the Russian side regarded Denmark's refusal to give permission to the Russian Federation to participate in the investigation of the Nord Stream explosions as a "fraud" and a "scam".
