Anatoly Antonov, the ambassador of the Russian Federation in Washington, claims that American drones collect intelligence data, which are subsequently used by Kiev to strike at Russian forces and Russian territory. It is reported by TASS.

“The unacceptable activity of the US military in the immediate vicinity of our borders is a matter of concern. We are well aware of the purpose for which such unmanned reconnaissance and strike vehicles are used, ”the diplomat says.

He wondered: “what are they (UAVs) doing thousands of kilometers from the United States?”. According to Antonov, the answer is obvious: “they are engaged in collecting intelligence information, which is subsequently used by the Kyiv regime to strike at our armed forces and territory.”

Earlier, Antonov was summoned to the State Department after the crash of an American drone over the Black Sea. According to the US Armed Forces, Russian Su-27s intercepted an MQ-9 Reaper reconnaissance drone in the sky over the water area, and one of them touched it with its wing, damaging the propeller. As a result, he was "forced to drown" by the Americans themselves. The Russian Defense Ministry denies the use of weapons and physical contact with the US aircraft.
