Akshata Murthy, wife of British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, was reprimanded by a police officer for walking her dog in London's Hyde Park. The pet was off leash. TASS writes about this with reference to a widespread statement by the law enforcement agencies of the British capital.

“We are aware of a video showing a dog walking off a leash in Hyde Park,” the BBC said in a statement. Police added that their officer spoke to the woman and reminded her of the rules. After that, the dog was taken on a leash. It is specified that there was no further intervention by the police.

A video was circulated on the TikTok social network, which shows that after a conversation with the police, a man grabbed a red Labrador who had previously run freely in the park. Akshate Murthy put the leash on the dog. There is a sign in the park that "dogs must be on a leash" when walking near the Serpentine Lake. This rule was introduced because "disturbing wildlife is an offense under the Wildlife and Landscape Protection Act of 1981."

Sunak's office did not comment on the incident with the Labrador named Nova.

Earlier, the prime minister was fined for riding in the passenger seat of a company car without a seat belt fastened. While driving a car, he recorded a video on his smartphone, but for some reason he did not fasten his seat belt. He later apologized for the incident.
