The Pentagon is not sure that they will have time to deliver Switchblade 600 drones to Kyiv this spring. This was stated by the press secretary of the US military department, Brigadier General of the US Air Force Patrick Ryder, reports TASS.

Answering the question whether these drones will be transferred by the time the "Ukrainian offensive" begins, the military said that he did not have information about the time frame. “I don’t think that will be the case,” he added.

The Switchblade 600 is part of a new military aid package for Kyiv that the United States announced earlier on Feb. 24. In addition to these drones, they decided to transfer unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) CyberLux K8, Altius-600, Jump 20 and equipment for detecting drones and electronic warfare to Ukraine. In addition, the $2 billion package includes additional munitions for HIMARS artillery multiple launch rocket systems and laser-guided missile systems, rounds for 155mm artillery mounts, and demining and communications equipment.

The Switchblade 600 is a kamikaze drone manufactured by the American company AeroVironment. This loitering projectile with an increased combat load is capable of remaining in the air for up to 40 minutes after launch and independently searching for a target.
