Lukashenko announced the unwillingness of Belarus to war

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said that the country does not want war, but is ready to defend sovereignty. The words of the politician, voiced during a conversation with Chinese journalists, are quoted by BelTA.

According to him, the country stands for a peaceful solution to problems. “We are ready to defend the sovereignty and independence of our country. We don't want war. We want everything to be peaceful here,” he said.

During the interview, the Belarusian politician also announced the speech of Chinese President Xi Jinping with a message regarding the situation in Ukraine. According to him, he will deliver the corresponding message "today or tomorrow."

Earlier, the State Secretary of the Security Council of Belarus, Lieutenant-General Alexander Volfovich, said that the West was purposefully escalating the situation near the borders of the state. Thus, he said that tension is currently growing near the borders of Belarus, as well as in the area of responsibility of the CSTO, which cannot but disturb the republic chairing the organization.
