President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky may take part in the beginning of the online summit of the G7 (G7), scheduled for February 24, he was invited to the welcoming speech by Japanese Cabinet Secretary Hirokazu Matsuno, TASS reports.

“It is planned that the President of Ukraine [Vladimir] Zelensky will take part at the beginning of the meeting,” he said. Matsuno noted that the conflict in Ukraine, sanctions against Russia and assistance to Kyiv will be the main topic of the summit.

Earlier, the ministers of the G7 countries threatened Russia with economic retribution for conducting a special military operation (SVO) in Ukraine.
