Military expert, retired Lieutenant Colonel of the Lugansk People's Republic (LPR) Andrei Marochko said that the Armed Forces of Ukraine (APU) are making attempts to partially unblock the blocked supply routes to Artemivsk (Ukrainian name - Bakhmut), RIA Novosti reports.

“Motivated militants from the Aidar nationalist unit (recognized as extremist in Russia and banned in Russia) were sent to this area to unblock communication routes between the settlements of Artemovsk and Chasov Yar,” he said.

Marochko specified that the main goals of the fighters who arrived there are to contain the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as well as to make efforts to prevent the Ukrainian military from fleeing the battlefield.

Earlier it became known that the Russian military, during the offensive in the LPR, used the Msta-B large-caliber gun and hit the stronghold of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. It is noted that thanks to such interaction, the Russian army can reach new frontiers.
