In Ukraine, a train from Kiev to Warsaw in the Volyn region derailed, the regional prosecutor's office reported on the Facebook page (banned in Russia; owned by Meta, which is recognized as an extremist organization and banned in the Russian Federation).

A criminal case has been initiated on the fact of violation of traffic safety rules or the operation of railway transport, the causes and circumstances of the incident are being investigated. A pre-trial investigation has been launched, which is led by the Kovel District Prosecutor's Office.

It is specified that the Kyiv-Warsaw train derailed on the night of February 19 near the railway bridge over the Turia River. As a result of the incident, no one was injured.

In December, the security forces detained two residents of Berdyansk for sabotage on the railway. The defendants damaged the electrical equipment of the railway transport coordination system, communication lines and put a pole on the rails so that the train derailed.
