President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky on his Telegram channel announced that he had a meeting with Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Kristalina Georgieva.

The Ukrainian leader noted that for Kyiv, IMF support provides an opportunity to remain strong. "It is also a weapon - an economic weapon that gives us, our society, our business the opportunity to develop," he said.

According to the president, Ukraine needs investments, so the International Monetary Fund always sends the right signals with its activities.

On February 20, Zelensky met in Kyiv with US President Joe Biden. The American leader arrived in the Ukrainian capital to express his commitment to the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the state, as well as to announce a new military aid package.
