A Ukrainian soldier taken prisoner near Avdiivka spoke about the service of British and Canadian officers and other specialists in the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). The words of an unnamed Ukrainian prisoner are reported by RIA Novosti.

According to the military, he met Canadian and British specialists near Kherson, they mainly worked with the Marines. Near Avdiivka he saw foreigners. He stressed that the conditions in which the NATO military were located did not allow the training of Ukrainian fighters, so foreign employees took a direct part in the hostilities.

A captured Ukrainian soldier suggested that the British were closer to the officer corps. “[They] worked out a couple of times from the Javelin (portable anti-tank missile system Javelin — approx. “Lenta.ru”). And mostly machine guns. There were two or three people in this group,” he stressed, adding that they always had an interpreter with them. Despite this, the prisoner pointed out, they had little contact with the Ukrainian military, as they were close to Russian positions.

In turn, according to him, Canadian specialists generally moved further away from the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. “We worked out. Once, some were hit with a cassette, and they were evacuated, ”said the agency’s interlocutor.

In addition, the military believes that now more Ukrainians are studying abroad. In particular, he met fighters who traveled to the UK. He explained that if a person has not served, he is trained in the military specialty of shooters, handling weapons. The Ukrainian prisoner also criticized the small arms supplied by NATO. In particular, he called the Belgian machine gun "unsuccessful."
