In the United States, work is underway to create combat space assets that can disable Russian satellites and, as a result, ensure the loss of control over Russian strategic nuclear forces. The statement of the head of the Military Space Academy of Mozhaisk, Major General Nikolai Nestechuk, is quoted by RIA Novosti.

According to him, some samples of such combat systems have already been developed by the American side. “They are capable of carrying out a covert maneuver, rendezvous with our spacecraft and its incapacitation, in any conditions of the situation, at any time,” Nestechuk said during a round table in the Federation Council.

According to him, combat systems that threaten Russian satellites can be deployed as part of groups such as OneWeb or Starlink, as well as the X-37B reusable carrier ship. “This means losing control, first of all, of strategic nuclear forces, which cannot be allowed,” the chief admitted.
