Western countries gave Kyiv everything they had in their warehouses. Military expert Alexei Leonkov spoke about the capabilities of the military-industrial complex (MIC) of the NATO countries in a commentary to Izvestia.

According to him, up to tens of thousands of Western shells are fired in Ukraine per day. “And the entire military-industrial complex of the NATO countries produces approximately 350,000 shells a year. The West raked out everything that was in warehouses and factories, but could not reconfigure the military-industrial complex in such a short time, ”the specialist noted.

Leonkov assured that a conveyor production of ammunition was established in Russia, and therefore the Russian army does not have a “shell hunger”.

“This leads to the fact that they will soon respond to our hundred shells with a much smaller number. Maybe this will have a positive impact on civilian territories, ”the expert added.

In February, Leonkov said that Poland was buying High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS) multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) from the United States to replace the Grads transferred to Ukraine.
