Two Tu-95MS strategic missile carriers conducted scheduled patrols over the Chukchi and Okhotsk seas. This was reported by the Russian Ministry of Defense in its Telegram channel.

The flight took place in the airspace over the neutral waters of the Chukchi and Okhotsk Seas. The planes spent more than seven hours in the air.

It is noted that fighter escort was provided by the Su-30 air force and air defense formations of the Eastern Military District.

“Long-range aviation pilots regularly fly over the neutral waters of the Arctic, the North Atlantic, the Black and Baltic Seas, and the Pacific Ocean,” the report says.

Earlier, the Ministry of Defense reported that two Tu-95 missile carriers completed a scheduled seven-hour flight over the Bering Sea. In the air, the Tu-95MS was accompanied by Su-30 fighters.

In January, the United Aircraft Corporation reported that the upgraded Tu-95MSM missile carrier made a test flight. During the flight, the equipment of the modernized aircraft was checked.
