Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida explained at a parliamentary hearing why Tokyo intends to buy Tomahawk missiles from the US. His words are quoted by RIA Novosti.

Kishida cited the merit of the Tomahawks and stated that the missiles bought from the US avoided interception.

“The Tomahawks that our country will buy are the latest models, with a flight that avoids interception. We are considering their acquisition based on the assessment [of these opportunities],” he stressed.
