The crews of the Igla portable anti-aircraft missile system of the large landing ship (BDK) of the Pacific Fleet "Admiral Nevelskoy" conducted an exercise near the Kuril Islands. This was reported in the press service of the Pacific Fleet, reports RIA Novosti.

It is noted that, according to the plan of the exercise, the crew of the BDK discovered an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) launched by a sabotage and reconnaissance group of a mock enemy from one of the uninhabited islands. The personnel prepared the Igla MANPADS for use, and the air defense crews took the target for escort. When approaching the affected area, the air target was destroyed by two anti-aircraft missiles.

Also, the artillery crews of the large landing craft "Admiral Nevelskoy" conducted a training session to detect and destroy mock-ups of floating mines in an area with a conditional mine hazard.
