The depressurization of the Progress MS-21 cargo spacecraft, which occurred on February 11, most likely occurred due to a violation of the technology for assembling the Russian segments of the ISS. This reason was given to Izvestiya by a source familiar with the situation in Roskosmos.

Thus, one of the representatives of the rocket and space industry said that, in his opinion, there is some problem in the design of spacecraft, and in particular in the thermal control system assembled by RSC Energia specialists.

Another source of the publication in Roskosmos believes that the problem lies in a mistake "made in the production technology of spacecraft." “I suppose we are talking about some kind of deviation from the technology - a slightly wrong material, a slightly wrong production conditions, a different operator,” he said, expressing the hope that this problem would be solved on the next ships sent into space.

Progress MS-21 docked with the ISS on February 11. Its depressurization became known on the same day. Then, as reported by the state corporation Roscosmos, the spacecraft was isolated, and nothing threatened the health of the crew.
