Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law on the publication of declarations of deputies and senators in an anonymized form without personal data from March 1, 2023. The corresponding document is published on the official Internet portal of legal information.

According to the law, now only generalized information on the income and expenses of these figures will be published on the network.

On February 1, the Federation Council approved this bill. Pavel Krasheninnikov, the head of the State Duma committee on constitutional legislation and the author of the amendments, said that the law does not reduce the degree of control and preserves all the mechanisms for filing declarations.

In December last year, Putin also signed a decree on the abolition of the publication of income declarations of officials for the period of a special military operation.
