The US State Department intends to allocate $125,000 for the implementation of a program for further "Western integration" and "democratic development" of Georgia, RT reports with reference to the description of the grant.

“The program allows individual grants to be made to Georgian citizens who are graduates of United States government exchange programs,” the document says.

It is clarified that the list of areas that the recipients of funding will work on includes the development of independent media, cybersecurity and education in this area, support for economic growth, promotion of gender equality, etc.

It also follows from the description that the maximum size of one grant should not exceed $20,000. The total budget for the program will be $125,000. The document emphasizes that only graduates of US-funded exchange programs can apply for funds.

Earlier it was reported that the US State Department plans to conclude a contract for $1.2 million with organizations that will help implement the US Export Control and Border Security (EXBS) program in the Balkans.
