Russian President Vladimir Putin sent his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan a telegram of condolences in connection with the large number of victims of a powerful earthquake.

In the telegram, Putin indicated that Russia was ready to provide Turkey with all the necessary assistance.
