Zelensky announced his readiness to help Turkey after the earthquake in Kahramanmaras

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky expressed his readiness to provide assistance to Turkey in connection with the earthquake that occurred there. He stated this on the social network Twitter.

He stated that he was shocked by the news of the death of people as a result of the earthquake, and stressed that Ukraine is “next to the friendly Turkish people” and is ready to help them.

The Ukrainian leader expressed sympathy to the families of the victims and wished a speedy recovery to the injured.

At least 284 people were killed and more than 2,300 were injured as a result of the earthquake that hit seven Turkish provinces, according to Anadolu news agency. The epicenter of the earthquake with a magnitude of 7.4 was the Pazarchik district in Kahramanmarash. It has become the strongest for Turkey over the past 100 years.

The highest alert level has been declared in the country.
