The head of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Oleksiy Reznikov said that for the first time he heard about his possible appointment to the post of Minister for Strategic Industries. This is reported on the website "ICTV Facts".

“I hear about the Ministry of Strategic Industry for the first time,” the website quotes him as saying.

Reznikov noted that if he had received such an offer, he would have refused it.

“Therefore, I think that this is a mistake,” the head of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry added.

Reznikov stressed that according to the constitution of Ukraine, only the president of the country can make a decision on the resignation of the defense minister, and "there is no procedure for transferring from minister to minister within the government."

Earlier, Oleksiy Reznikov said that he was ready for his resignation if the head of state Volodymyr Zelensky decided so. According to him, he will continue to do what the president will offer him.

Prior to this, Reznikov, in an interview with Ukrayinska Pravda, said that he did not talk about leaving his post, but as an official he was ready for any development of events.
